Munyun Settings ⚙️

All the settings you need to make Munyun yours.

Before we dive into settings, here's a quick reminder of how Munyun is organized:

  • Account/Workspace – Your entire Munyun world (you get one when you sign up)

  • Profile – Separate containers for different parts of your financial life (personal, business, investments, etc.)

  • Page – Custom dashboards you build

  • Block – Individual data visualizations on your pages (charts, numbers, lists)

Now let's get into the settings.

User Settings

These are account-wide settings. Click your profile menu (top left) to access them.

Account tab:

  • Change your name

  • Upload a profile picture

  • Delete your account (please don't though!)

Workspace tab:

  • Share your workspace with others (family, financial advisor, etc.)

  • Access workspaces other people shared with you

System tab: Global settings for how Munyun works:

  • Currency – Pick your main currency. Munyun converts everything to this automatically

  • Pending Transactions – Show or hide pending transactions in your lists

  • Session Timeout – How long before you get auto-logged out (1, 2, 4, or 8 hours)

  • Theme – Light mode, dark mode, or neutral colors for charts

Partnership tab: Every Munyun user is a partner. Here you can:

  • Find your Partner ID and sharing link

  • Check your partnership status

  • Get your API key if you're a developer

  • Leave us a review (we'd love that!)

  • Send feedback or feature requests

Sign out button is at the bottom when you're ready to leave.

Profile Settings

These settings are specific to each individual profile. Click the settings icon next to any profile name.

Profile Name & Icon: Change what your profile is called and what emoji represents it

Transaction Review: Turn on "review mode" if you want to mark transactions as reviewed (helpful when managing finances with a partner)

Categories & Rules: Manage your category snapshots here. Save different category setups and switch between them, or share your setup with others

Page Settings

Basic settings for each page:

  • Page Name – Rename your page

  • Page Icon – Change the emoji

  • Lock Page – Prevent accidental edits by locking it

  • Hide Amounts – Hide all dollar amounts (useful if you're screensharing or showing someone your setup but not your actual numbers)

Block Settings

This is where the magic happens. Block settings control everything about how your data looks and what it shows.

Display settings:

  • Block Title – What it's called

  • Block Size – Small, medium, large, or full screen

  • Block Type – Text, chart, list, gauge, etc.

  • Color Palette – Pick colors for charts

Data settings (the important part):

  • Account Selection – Pick which accounts to pull data from

  • Date Range – Choose your timeframe (last 7 days, this month, last year, custom range, etc.)

  • Metrics – What numbers to show (total spending, average income, etc.). You can use pre-made metrics or create custom ones with formulas

  • Budget/Threshold – Set spending limits and see if you're over/under

  • Other options – Breakdowns, sorting, timelines, comparisons – tons of ways to customize how your data displays

Pro tip: Understanding block settings is key to getting the most out of Munyun. Play around with them – you can't break anything.

Category Settings

Tools for managing your categories:

  • Create Budget – Quick shortcut to build a budget page from your existing categories

  • Factory Reset – Messed everything up? Reset to default categories and start over

  • Erase All – Wipe all categories and start completely from scratch

  • Import Categories – Copy someone else's category setup using their share code

  • Manage Snapshots – Save different versions of your category setup. Try new stuff, and if you hate it, just restore an old snapshot

Bottom line:

Munyun is super flexible. These settings let you customize literally everything to match how YOUR brain works and how YOU want to see your money.

Don't be afraid to experiment – you can always undo changes or restore old versions. Make it yours.
